i think my issue with this whole "make him experience my pain" response is that its only causing her MORE pain. As a reader, its a different type of frustration from the stories where a 15 minute heart-to-heart could have replaced 50 chapters, but its just as unsatisfying

I'm actually glad that I found your comment because I relate soo much I can really see how the FL is toxic for the ml I thought it was a good story about family stuff protecting her sister but it just turned into a dark path. I really hated the fact how the FL treated the ml because he clearly lacked social relationships and she says shes giving him chances but that was just pushing him on edge making his already messed brain get even messier and I agree with you that the mc should've just die because I feel so bad for him he's already suffering from a curse and now this and I also kinda hate the fl little sister Liz because she keeps saying the mc is greedy and is using her sister and he should stop but she herself is greedy for the fl love she keeps wanting her to herself even when she can see that the fl also wants to be with him if she wants the fl to be happy she shouldn't be so possessive of her it's just too much and I know the fl pity her because of what Liz experienced in the novel she read before but I can't even accept that excuse because she haven't experience that difficulties in this life because the fl keeps protecting her so I just can't help but see Liz as a spoiled girl I know that she experienced being trapped and starved at a young age but she's loved now so I really don't like the way she acts toward the ml they are just not treating him right and I know that at the start the ml was just bad at communicating and social relationships but he has a reason for that he wasn't raised right because of his curse probably and the fl just uses him whenever shes sad but I don't know it's just my opinion but I want to keep reading this I want to see how this end this is just my opinion I actually do like this but I hate the way they treat him and I just really wish that the ml would die and the fl would regret it and go crazy andiz would see this and realize how much he actually menas to the fl and she actually burtes her by making them drist apart but that's just my twisted way of thinking anyway bye.

I hope you take in account that if he could just be honest and be upfront, he is not suffering right now. She is giving him what he is asking. Both are suffering for each other's lacking. She is making ml suffer while suffering in the process. They can't be true for themselves, which deep inside they care. Both are at fault and both are victims. It's not the ml who's the one suffering here, fl has a lot more of her plate.
at face value, i'd be inclined to agree with the majority that the ml deserves it all for being so incompetent at socializing or whatnot, but its well established that he's been isolated and shit, and even the fl acknowledges this and him being bad at social cues was literally one of their previous misunderstandings that made the reader go aww innocent unfiltered pure love, or whatever. shes doing it as revenge because he couldn't tell her he loved her back? shes acting like she doesn't like him, but the difference here is that at the time when he turned her down, he was genuinely convinced it wasn't real love because he's never been good at managing his emotions. fl? nah, she knows exacrly what she feels and yet she wants to make him suffer what she did, even though she knows exactly what shes feeling and how hes feeling. she wants him to come to it on his own? is she dumb? she realizes his weakness, which is that he loves her and wouldn't harm her so she exploits it to harm him even though all he's done is benefit her. listen, of course she shouldn't rely on him much, but she could've actually communicated that to him, and explained why to him properly because its obvious he lacked the social support from a young age to properly get to learn these kinds of things, before her, he didn't even have a proper social relationship. shes being immensely hypocritical, and she knows better than him, shes just basically tormenting him bro. she could've communicated, but she doesn't want to, because he can't? shes doing exactly what she didn't like from him, and its fostering a vicious cycle of what i can only describe and psychological abuse, the only thing is that shes doing it on purpose and he isn't, which arguably makes her worse than him, because how could you call a newborn evil, when they haven't even grasped the concepts of morals yet? he also obviously needs to stand up for himself, but i can't even blame him because this is his first relationship, but what she's doing is basically shoving a kid into a room filled with wolves and telling him to figure it out. thats a child, what does it know about fighting wolves if you haven't taught him? good lord ive seen bad mls, but rarely i see bad fls, and im utterly confounded by how people don't see how she does not deserve the dude. in fact, i'm afraid he's really better off dead. the fate he was designated to in the original novel was much more merciful than when her ass possessed that body. the only way up for him is if he somehow moves on and starts building social connections or whatever, but even then he still has the damn curse, good lord, hes just cooked. her motives, literally even her past trauma, its all so off that i can't fully identify it yet and put it into words, but god shes stupid too. honestly, they should've advertised this as a novel containing like.. evil ass bitches only, atleast then i would've known what i was getting into. happy romance novel or whatever childcare stuff? 1-10. piece of literature covering more mature and dark topics with problematic main characters? 10/10, and i won't even scorn that because dark pieces of art like that should be welcomed, in my opinion, but these comments are really something
