What a shit ending
The note doesn't say it's the end of the story, it says it's the end of season 2. And if that were the case, it would be the worst possible ending.
I noticed that just now so that’s my bad, but at the same time it doesn’t make sense at all to have season 3 be entirely a side story season if the story isn’t over yet
No way that was the actually the planned ending??
Perhaps the author wants to add more drama or needs more time to continue the story and already had one set in an alternate universe, I don't know... but I really doubt that's the ending, at least I hope not. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Omg the rest of my comment got cut off :( I was saying something about how this whole side story might be a dream that Flynn is having during a coma from his wounds. And that at the end of s3 it’ll be revealed that its a dream lol
The official story ended last season, with an author’s note confirming that. This is not their past, this is an entirely different side story. The main story was already concluded with an ambiguous ending where they were found at the end.
