I understand that people can find Garam annoying, but if I’m being honest, and even though I know they both have way too much pride , i can’t help but sympathize more with Garam. Coming out isn’t just emotionally difficult; it can also be genuinely dangerous. I feel like they should find some kind of middle ground, but it feels strange that the risks of coming out aren’t being taken more seriously...but maybe its just me!

whoever’s downvoting doesn’t understand you can still be beaten, shunned away and killed over liking the same sex. Garam is completely valid for not wanting to come out.

Exactly! I really think it’s a super entertaining story and I’m enjoying it a lot. But it’s true that I find it strange how they treat Garam’s refusal to come out of the closet as something that’s only based on him being “stubborn.” At the end of the day, It’s a very personal process that can’t be rushed

It’s because his refusal to come out shouldn’t effect OTHERS willingness to come out. He has refused to let JH reveal his relationship with a man (not specifying garam) which isn’t okay. He has every right to not want to come out, but he can’t make that decision for others.
