i might understand her side if it was a reverse time plot (since she really experienced it) but it wasn't.. And honestly she is lowkey selfish with her running away just becuz she doesn't want to marry the emperor because of his "obsessive behavior ", without thinking that "the evil emperor" Can ruin/end her family by just running away (since it was disregading the emperor's orders) .. Just by that you can already see that he's not what she thinks he is..
