You can’t see the similarities? Eighteens bed and edge of ambiguity are alike because of the ML’s obsession and possessiveness, but this has a lot to do with the attitude of the MLs like short temper, family issues, classroom hierarchy. This just feels like a shortened version of eighteens bed if eighteens bed didn’t take a wrong turn.
bad friend doesn't highlight classroom hierarchy that much unlike eighteen's bed. and unlike bad friend, eighteen's bed is a novel adaptation so you wouldn't be able to see the vision for bad friend and compare them further. eighteen's bed s2 still talks about classroom hierarchy while bad friend doesn't anymore. plus their situations and family background aren't the same at all. the mc's are very contrasting in terms of family however the ml's may be similar. still, the connection is quite blurry since some of the details that talk about the similarities in the ml are still from the novel (eighteen's bed) since the father's abuse isn't in the manhwa yet (just hinted at)
I never said it’s exactly like it, just that it’s similar. It’s just a plain fact, if you can read, that is. it’s obvious. The mc’s are similar in terms of personality with them both being similar and studying a lot. The ML is kinda not right in the head in both stories, just because the mc family isn’t the same as eighteens bed mc, doesn’t make it not similar. All stories like this have some kind of classroom hierarchy. Maybe not as bad as eighteens bed, but it’s still there.
calling the two stories similar when they don't have the same main themes is blatantly wrong, they may have the same themes but they don't highlight the same theme. and while i do agree that both mls have something wrong in their head, bae jimin lacks the opportunist personality kangjun has, they don't have the same personality.

Let’s not turn this into Eighteens bed…
