for one obvi won-woo is right for not wanting to fully rely on hand out money from his bf but at the same time refusing ALL kinds of help is throwing me off. if he has to pay for his siblings expenses PLUS the debt he should at least let his siblings and himself live in a good place especially to be safe from the loan sharks.
they were getting kinda heated in that argument where they both made rlly good points. tae-shin is constantly trying to get won-woo to accept hand outs (which is smth kinda normal from people who have more than they need) but he does it bc it’s his way of feeling accepted, which he def needs to mature and grow away from that concept of reassurance, BUT if won-woo KNOWS thats his way of feeling reassured and being helpful then why is he always rejecting him? it clearly is a pride thing (he said it) but it gets to a point where he isn’t thinking logically. he knows tae-shin suffers from being lonely and his bf is basically the only person he talks to so yeah the rest of his house is just empty space for him.
HOWEVER. it was incredibly entitled of taeshin to be saying poverty isnt a burden when it definitely is especially when its just thrown on you like won-woo. thats why i do understand won-woo as well bc tae-shin isnt well-versed with outside world problems since he’s always been alone and had his own kind of trauma so he doesnt understand the weight of the things he does for bf. especially since won-woo is someone who has always been the one to take responsibilities and care for his sinblings since he was young it does bruise someone’s dignity in a sense like if your hard work isn’t enough. which another thing that interests me is that won-woo is seeing tae-shin “red flags” and he’s accepting them but then also putting a boundary??? i js feel like this has a bigger impact on the story later on or im js crazy.
idk man im ranting at 2:30am…in conclusion i do like this manwha very much so far they have complex personalities and issues and cant wait to read more.
