Because shounen ai isn’t about bromance, but rather romance. That distinction is important. Owing your life to someone because they go or went to battle for you is a special thing.

Yeah, my mind doesn’t go there. When it comes to fantasy/adventure/action/shounen types, I’m a big fan of bromance, womance, loyalties and family bonds so that’s essentially all I’m seeing.
This manhua has more tension and bromance than most Shounen Ai out there.
