Oh i love Painter of the night!! Yes! It is similar BUT i think Steel under Silk is deeper and more detailed about this toxic "love and hate?!" realationship it has much more psychological and philosophycal internalization so i would say it could be even better in writing based of on the ending when we get there, but obvi Painter of the night maybe better for you if it's your fav you will find out, just my oponion <3
Gosh i love this story so much its amazingly written and has beautiful art. The plot is really good too, and this is the kind of hurting i want in a doomed yaoi like get the fuck away w the love triangles and pentafuckingons and unqruitted loves and whatnot sidefuck situations! I want two characthers who are suffering with and without each other a toxic hurtful love between them that bounds them from ever looking away from the other THIS is real doomed yaoi real doomed love not the ones where anyone fucks anyone, or there is a third person involved haunting the narrative as an unqruitted love character shit u know? i wish more mangas were like this!
