Honestly, i love that the characters were portrayed so well too. There is so much you can see from the ml's character since his entire side of the story is also explained well. Sometimes reading the story from the mc's POV only gets the other characters misunderstood and they get criticized, some w/out redemption after the backstory is explained. But all through out the story, both of their personality and tragic background were explained and this only give us a full context on how both of them feel. The frustration, the subtle hints of budding love (from the ml), their struggles in adjusting, and most of all on how they build their relationship. I also love the fact that the ML admitted his wrongdoings and apologized. The way he changed his ways, before he knew he was in love and after he knew he was inlove. The way the MC stood for herself and the way she never stray from her usual self. They way the ML chased her and never gave her up and how he understood that he needed to suffer in order to get her back. This story is just so well written, it has the right amount of angst and love that this reminds me of how love and relationship is. Such a rare gem. Truly.
I also understand. Actually i glad fl choose to run, not because i don't like ml. Because they two hurting, the wound become deeper when they see each other. Ml is wrong but that how also he view himself. He hurting that almost forgot his wife also hurting. Everyone say it's bad thing but that is reality. How many real life couple who love each can't communicate. The real villains to me is people, people who judge. I understand he a prince but point finger at his wife and praise other women like? He your own prince but this also reality. People will make man a villains without knowing full story

Okay readers, don't hate me for showing this but I sympathise with both Björn and Erna. Yes, ml is an a-hole of a character but he stays true to it, and fl is the epitome of soft, naive, but strong hearted lady and the author did justice portraying both in a way that does not ridiculously alter each other. So with ml, he is pretty much a stoic, "i prefer logic than emotions" personality, and his experience with his ex-wife was traumatising for him but he ignored it and suppressed his emotions, which led him to have a rocky relationship with fl and push fl to the point of abuse. So yeah, as a character the fact that we don't like him, is our author-nim's very good skill on display. Because, let's be honest, a "cold' husband turning 180 upon meeting wife is enjoyable but sometimes we gotta read angst to learn that change does not occur instantly. And the ml did have a character development in the later chapters. So this is not a tragic rundown I suppose. And to our brave, strong fl, I love Erna so much. While I saw people saying she is stupid and all, I think we must remember that girl was only 19 when she met ml, in a desperate situation and had never had any romantic experience before. So, lowk her mental state began to assume that it was love because that was the only positive mindset she could ever carry to bear with the cruel public opinion and ml's lack of empathy. And I love that she chose to leave him, I was lowk worried she might choose to take her own life but very healthy of her to take her stand and reject everyone trying to win her back including ml. I know due to plot armour, they will get together and be happy, but the journey reaching that has been beautifully portrayed and I am enjoying every chapter (cried 90% but it was worth it!!)
