Yeah I think a large part of the readers basically don’t like JK and were never planning to forgive him but hate read / were high key still obsessed with him so they’d be unhappy no matter what outcome
BIG on the never forgiving him part. All talks about him apologizing, him begging and on his knees, him crying to dan for forgiveness, him feeling pain, well guess what?? ALL OF THAT HAPPENED. They just like to whine and are so obsessed with punishment, they never wanted a redemption arc, they just like having a source to fluel their desire to bully and harass which shows with how they treat REAL people. (Fans who enjoy the BL)
