I think like 20 chapters of chasing/yearning arc would have hit showing jk going to therapy and showing remorse and quitting fighting because he lost his purpose for it / kd is more important him moving to where kd moves to and secretly helping out kd in the shadows and finally reuniting and apologizing
maybe yeah he could’ve went to therapy but i think the “moving and secretly helping out kd” might become repetitive considering jjk kinda already did move out to the countryside for him at one point
But now he’s doing it out of purely love and respecting KD’s boundaries to let him be free and independent! 20 chapters would go by quick and pacing wise would help people maybe forgive JK and would show his character growth
unpopular opinion but i like that it’s going to end there… ofc i want to see them lovey dovey but if it’s gonna be in the main story, the author would probably need to add another conflict. adding anything more than this would just be milking the series. this is the ending that makes sense THANK GOD THERE IS NO MORE TIMESKIP
