Hojoong’s family literally did nothing wrong. He was the guy who sunk them into debt and almost got them killed by the mafia. Hojoong’s the one who keeps thinking that he has to do something for them even though at this point they want nothing to do with him, and it would be better for everybody if he stayed away.
That’s what makes this story interesting, because the characters are flawed and they don’t get away with making stupid and short-sighted decisions.

Have we forgotten mc was literally a deadboat in his family that the wife had to work & leave because his ass been gambling all the money away? Like they don't deserve to live with debt because of mc's actions, the wife is literally a single mom with a child, if your gonna be pissed at someone then take it out on Ricky, if he hadn't throw the money away mc would have paid it off and got together with him 10 chapters ago.
