I love the story. For Josei with smut it's very rare find where the story is really good
I also like it visually
But then as you can see in comments some other ppl disagree
But it might have to do with my taste of course: I don't mind crazy, rough and even vulgar ML as long as he actually has deep feelings for MC, I love complex lore with references to mythologies, even if it's hard to follow, I don't mind violence as part of the plot, especially if it's granted.
So to me all of that overweight occasional obnoxitities and may be some visual style weirdness
There's lots of things happening between ML and MC, politically and like 'magically', I love their dynamic tho it's rather tense and difficult, there's a sense of that there's deep care and attraction for each other but it's not lovely dovey and nice all the time. Good and bad characters are all rough around the edges, but really interesting to follow. And I love visual style: some frames are chef kiss and I didn't really notice it's getting worse.
Basically, I love it so much that I took time to write it all out so that hopefully smn else give it a chance
If you happen to not like it visually or feel like plot wise it's too convoluted, I'd still strongly recommend the novel
I think formulation was weird, so I'll correct it:
Lots of things happening between ML and MC and then apart of that lots of things happening politically and magically and of course it also affects them and their relationships
Another thing is that there's lots of things to learn about, especially to do with ML, so don't make too quick conclusions about him
Honestly, I'm constantly being pleasantly surprised with turns and twists of plots. I'm like a life long film noob and often can see where the plot is going, but here I can't predict it really. But also the dramatic twists that happen make sense and earned, it's not cheap stuff like miscommunication or like 'oh, my god! This person was a villain all long!'
I think you'd need to read the novel in addition to this manga or you'll be lost a bit. Too much is glossed over that the storyline is more confusing than it should be
