honestly both are rlly hard and painful to read its like the same hardship for yuta and jooha :,,)
I couldn't read Pearl Boy bc of how explicit the rape scenes are, and it happens in multiple chapters. ITD is more reserved in that respect and I think the author toned it down while still tackling much heavier and darker themes. It's more tasteful and easier to read for me compared to PB. I really like this story a lot and YT is such a tortured soul who's so human, my heart aches for him every time so I connect with him more than PB characters.
All this to say, I feel this one is an easier read? A bit complex but once the plot points slowly unveil, you get a better understanding of things
they both suck imo but the couple in pearl boy is much more lovable. its easier to feel attached to them i think
Better than pearl boy in my opinion i dropped pearl boy with having too much gang rape explicit scenes but this one doesn't have that much scene of gang rp even though yuta been raped continuously... It just by little bit scene also uke is quite clever and smart strong so he is my liking he get out of hell himself endure everything himself... Though he is insane only cuz of past.
