yeah i still liked bj alex wayyy better its sm more charming in everyway & narratively i liked we heard both characters thoughts** not just one at a time and it was sillier n cuter tbh.
but imo both are kinda unfulfilling the same way.
mingwa knows how to lead both stories to peak and then not rlly flesh them out after or have her characters communicate directly/ understand e/o softly while communicating ; the thing in bj alex that pmo so bad that i feel like happened here too in jinx,
theres that chap in bj alex where dg says ‘me and sunbae talked it out’ and we dont see any of that acc communication. they j slept together after confessing & then theres a scene of then sittting drinking coffee n pj’s with that narration
n i feel like readers wouldve rather seen* and heard them talk about it, so it feels rlly incomplete to me & like she can bring a story to its peak but then not fully anticipate what readers want after in both stories
Ts ass but the chase arc was nonexistent….u have to follow the formula if ur gonna make slop… toxic meetcute —> toxic relationship —> chase arc —> THEY GET BACK TOGETHER
