The biting will basically mark Juhyeok as Su-ah’s omega for life. Like most omegaverse stories and i assume this one mating marks are for life. It doesn’t guantee that he’ll be pregnant but it guarantees that only Su-ah will only ever be able to smell Juhyeok’s phermones and crave Su-ah during his heats. Basically it bonds them together as a pair for life.

But come to think of it, Juhyeok is an athlete of a sport with heavy physical contact, wouldn't he be afraid of getting bitten by his opponent by accident and being "claimed"?
Its usually only an occurrence during ones heat or rut, so it most likely wouldn't be a fear or an issue! But that'd be a cool yaoi idea
I don’t think so actually, i think in this story it’s implied that the omega doesn’t have to be in heat. In the very beginning chapters Su-ah mentions to Juhyeok that he find it’s alarming that he doesn’t “at least wear a collar” to protect his neck. Plus the recent scene where Su-ah bites his hand Juhyeok is horrified because he thought Su-ah bit him. It’s framed as a close call to what could’ve actually happened because Juyeok then brings up how that would affect him for life “what about my future”. I think the only thing that wasn’t guaranteed in this situation was Juhyeok getting pregnant. Though i do think that the urge for an Alpha to claim an omega may take some steps to get their such as aroused pheromones and being in the act of sex.
