I think it's a little poetic he took the fall for the woman that used him and would've easily thrown him away. He was so blinded with love he let her kill his father. I think him taking all the blame was a way to protect her but also a way to get revenge on her. She used him to the end. She was so blinded by revenge she never saw him and only loved him once he was gone.... Well that's how I see it.

I don’t like Anser or whatever’s ending. I feel it could’ve been more… I know he was a coward but it just doesn’t sit completely right
