That's not love and howoo knows it,it's all just trauma. Because if he doesn't feel like he loves yool,he will have the worst mental breakdown. He is trapped,he is not staying willingly or because of any love he has,he is staying because what choice does he even have?
He is too kind to let anybody die because of his choice,not that he has any,even if he somehow miraculously escapes the city,which is not possible anyways.
