Well, i have read the recent comments and i kinda agree with both sides. I am the person who enjoys this kind of shit to some extent (i can be quite sensitive about rpe and sa and dubcon and i cannot even tell where the line is that makes me stop reading).
Still i do understand the opposite point of view too. Like i reread this manga today about sensei 22 yo and his students 17-18yo (maybe) and i am like fck this is illegal, he is their teach, they are underage... but i still read it, cz they were twins and one of them was vers, i guess it just makes you brain more excited partially from shock and forbidden apple. Still as an adult i realise this is not smth that is ok in reality. Still there is some popular shit which even i cannot read if it is noncon or very close to noncon. Still i read noncon shit too. Where is the line idk.
But i have to agree there are very few green flag relationship stories out there like our sunny days so the point that most of the shit here is sick in one way or another is also true and there is not much choice you just choose the kind of sick that makes you feel less sick.
As for this particular manga it is definitely immoral relationship, still enjoyed it many years ago, idk how i would react now, probably need to reread it, probably will still enjoy it.
But i think we do need to read more healthy stuff and then maybe the authors will write more healthy stuff. You can make the story exciting without making the relationship twisted in some way. Demand creates supply. As of now it is obvious what the demand is.
As for freedom of speech i agree that this is a free space where anyone can voice their opinion but can we probably be less "virgin mary" and voice only our opinion on the story without judging other people? Like someone can judge lgbt, or piracy, but here we all are reading bl without paying, i guess their judgmental comments will irk all of us too. But are they wrong? All of us will have different answers to that. I have nothing against lgbt, i would say i am passively supportive; but i do realise i am "stealing" someones work by reading it for free. Where is the line when not paying for others work is fine? We do not really do it irl but we are ok with doing it on internet.
Ok i am rumbling now i guess, just wanted to say, lets be more polite and less judgemental and as long as reading smth like this does not hurt anyone irl lets just let it be (we do not count authors in here, if this wasnt free, we wouldnt read it at all cz we are not well off enough, so they did not loose much bcz of us i guess/hope).
I sound like a virgin mary too now
I wish you all a nice day and finding to read smth that you really enjoy
