Well I'm not a mother not the character. But I guess it's because a part of him thinks that he wants that baby. It's a part of him to so it's not that easy to make abortion an option. So even if he doesn't have the ability to raise it, he's still keeping it.
You're saying that as if you didn't read his backstory thats why he is very hesitant on everything he do.
Okay but he literally said himself that he doesn’t want his baby to go through what he experienced as a kid. Wanting a child isn’t selfish but ignoring the harm you might cause and refusing accountability can be. I don’t fully agree with the people calling the MC dumb for his actions because I can understand and empathize with where he’s coming from. But if he’s already aware of his issues and the impact they could have then he should definitely keep the child away from that environment instead of repeating the cycle.
I get what u mean. wanting to keep the baby because it’s a part of him is understandable but at the same time wanting a child and being able to give that child a healthy environment are two different things
I think many parents may have thoughts about that.
"Am I able to raise a kid? Am I selfish if I give birth to a child? Am I selfish if I don't? Will I be enough for a baby? Can I provide happiness, strenght and everything it needs?".
And many people are doing an amazing job raising their kids even without a partner, even if they struggle, even if they're insecure about what they're doing.
From my experience, I can say this: if you LOVE your kid, you WILL find a way.
Maybe MC will find his own purpose if there's a life that counts on him.
Well, we don't know what the character thinks. Even if the author put a bubble of thoughts in the panel, if we consider them as real people in real life. We can only imagine that maybe, only maybe if he works hard he'll manage to give the baby a better life.
I agree with you. Even if he thinks, right now, that he can't raise the baby. Sooner or later he will find a way to keep that baby safe and give them a better life
Can't he just aborted the bby or something like i dont get it. If you know that you can't raise a child and you dont have the ability to then why give birth to it. You know he doesnt like you nor think that the baby is his so why keep it then ? Your baby is gonna be living with parents who both don't love each other.
