I don’t agree. Ricky is being unreasonable.
Hojoong is trying to save his family his child!!! Which b they are only in danger because of his awful choices. He owes at least to pay off the debt for them. It’s his fucking family! He’s known Ricky for all of a few weeks and for the majority of that was fighting for his life and getting raped.
It’s all lovey dovey now and I like Ricky to but I’m not gonna pretend he’s a hero or in the right here. He’s being exceptionally unreasonable and selfish. And don’t get me wrong I’m not saying he should have to pay for the debt out of his own money but to make someone you claim to love choose like this….it’s not a very loving thing to do.
I agree he has childish traits which I do believe stems from childhood trauma. Nonetheless I won't make excuses for it since he is an adult and should learn how to break that habit.
I see your pov and I can agree that multiple things can be true at the same time. Ricky is being unreasonable and Hojoong is being selfish. Doesn't make either character horrible beings just people with bad traits. I made a comment before stating that Hojoong should pay the debt because it's his debt. However, I also do feel like if a person is constantly risking their life for me then the least I can do is save them over some money. But I will admit that when I read this my first thought process was I bet Ricky can't swim and this is a test. But now that the chapter settle in my brain I can honestly say that it most likely didn't cross his mind that Ricky can't swim at all so it didn't dawn on him to save a life.Maybe he thought he was playing a prank.
Because why would you save the money instead of the person who been there for you and has been helping you every single time. Even the money belonged to Ricky. Even I knew it was a test to see what matter most to me him. Once again he's proven how selfish he is.I doubt Ricky is dead but if he is atleast he wont have to deal with MC bullshit anymore.
