I mean, if he likes the toxicity it's no one's place to really judge. It's not necessarily hypocritical to try to help someone out of a bad situation while staying in one. It's unfair to all parties involved to judge their situation in just black or white especially if both parties aren't showing aversion. Morality will never be objective, the same can go for what counts as moral or toxic behavior in relationships. I'd rather two freaks freak it together than to out-freak some normies and someone gets hurt. Or maybe I'm the friend thats too woke idk. Different strokes.
P.S. to create no misunderstandings I am against all kind of domestic physical, sexual, mental abuse and ect. I just feel that there could be more nuance or smth.
