Because there was no need to go to the barrier, none of the characters knew that there was something wrong with it, or that it needed constant human sacrifice to keep on going
ML could not say it for he was forbiden by the spell, and all the deaths within the family were put as accidents since they were people fighting monsters, fl knows ml may die, but there was no clue for her to guess the possible cause, specially since she didnt even know about him being sick
Basically she knew guardians died young, but had no way of making the conection with the barier, specially since she was the one that made it, she assumed it was working alright
My guess is that going to the barrier needs her ability from past life, and she doesn't want to expose herself as someone reborn/reincarnated.
So I’m on ch 91 right after Raven almost died and Estrella came just in the Nick of time to heal him and poured her holy power into the Magic barrier as a temporary method to keep it from collapsing, and it’s just so dumb???
I understand Raven could not tell anyone he was about to sacrifice himself to the barrier and die, but if Estrella had the ability to visit this super important barrier at any time that she poured yrs of her past life into making, why is she just now seeing it in her current life to realize a major piece of it is missing?
If she had checked on it earlier when she came to the conclusion that it must be the barrier that got ml acting like this, then she would’ve poured her power in to stall for enough time for ml to break the concealment spell and explain.
Why the author wasted her character potential into a girl who only chases ml idk… she has all this power and magic only for author to showcase it only in the first 5 chapters. Never did we see her beat monsters or mass heal anyone again. It’s poor story telling tbh
