Pretty good and realistic story (well except the time travel stuff obv) . . . . . . .
Also no, i don't think it's an open end. I just think the ending is just that, people can have falling out but giving space and time and communication prolly helps. It does end up with them realising things about each other so I'm positive it's also about them working out things from then on.
