why are they booing you (re: the downvotes), you’re right !!!
genuinely had to scroll so I could find someone else criticizing the plot ,,, lol ,,,
aside from the actual narrative (I can’t say the endless deaths and languid characterization have become any more tolerable), the world-building itself doesn't seem sufficiently cohesive to ground the story in reality… the nonsensical hacking montage, the desolate wasteland that somehow houses both a highly advanced technopolis and surviving farmland, even whether there are other surviving nations (or are we supposed to assume this is detached from real life? but then they use cyrillic?) — overall, the setting’s internal logic feels kinda inconsistent
and it sucks because the premise is genuinely interesting, but could benefit from being more descriptive (or having greater stakes, since mc can just log out anytime anything goes wrong)
or am I onto nothing…

I overanalyze plot points and world building, and as cool as this Anthem/1984-esce real world is.. its a bit underdeveloped and doesn’t really make sense? as much as your genes determine your lifespan, your environment matters even more.. in a hyper industrialized civilization like that everyone is already probably dying from bioaccumulating compounds
