ML is also at fault for not clearly stating why he do what he’s doing. From an omega perspective where there’s a lot of prejudice against them in the first place, MC has every right to be cautious and weary especially the latest dinner didn’t help at all with the way his father spoke. MC has issues sure but don’t act like ML is a so pure, he is naive borderline harmful if he actually love MC. ML has low social awareness and how society would look upon MC should he won. Then what if he somehow win the position cuz the deck stack in his favor cuz his gender? What his next plan then? Give it to MC as present? Does he really think that people in the company would accept that and look at MC in a good light or will they look at him as a failure who got the position cuz ML gave to him as a present for being a trophy wife. Both need to talk and MC need to know what is going on in ML head or else from his perspective it will all just a power play where ML is using his affection and their history together as leverage and he knows he is at disadvantage especially being heat is worse than being in a rut. His strength will be gone while in rut the alpha getting stronger. So you all should think carefully both are has issues.
