Ppl who "don't like miscommunication, angst, drama" in their stories are so boring lol you don't want any rising action or climax to the plot? Just begin the story with the side stories then, god.

"Oh they should've just communicated" that's the drama and plot. To flesh out the character, just put them in situations to see how they act. Taking too long? Click off.

miscommunication can be well written and also very poorly written. some miscommunication tropes are horrible to read. you can tell when it’s just the author wanting to drag their story and who doesn’t really know what to do with their own story.

i feel like miscommunication is well written when it doesn’t need 30 chapters of them acting extremely dumb and stupid. it’s like in horror movies when the protagonist makes the most STUPIDEST choices ever. you just wanna shake them off and slap their face. well it’s the same in books. it’s very frustrating when the plot isn’t going anywhere and that the author is writing bullshit.

i personally hate when a character keeps overthinking and not communicating when a normal sane person woudlve communicated since the start. like omg please for the love of god communicate….

I used to be this person but then I realised that angst makes the story SM better
