Ghurl, the story will mostly involve the character that you're hating. I was just giving you my opinion to stop reading if the protagonist irritates you. In reality most timid people are also like that. You're gonna see her more in that story and not the brown haired girl. No harm done.
You probably don't know if you never experience this, but when someone tell you they like you when you barely talk to them , or keep trying to be close to your friend only for being more close to you ,OR even staring at you like you some kind of fresh meat, is not a " timid " behavior , the way she make him her all world IT'S a creepy ass behavior. That girl put HER feeling first and try to invading he's personal space , when he already tell her he's unconfortable with her , and NOT OK with her action.
It's basically the typical profile of a stalker or the discord anime boy who only go for the asian.
And honestly the fact that you keep thinking it's normal or trying to no even deep into the character make me think that you fit this kind of profile and your enjoy making people unconfortable without enven noticing . Pretty sad if you ask me.
If you smart enough you will understand that is because she's annoying me that i keep reading it , her character is pretty realistic and it's make me wonder how the author going to change the story. But the fact that i find her character interessing doesn't mean i have to lover her and being ok with her creepy behavior.
