My interpretation is that is more a precaution against imperial nobles, so even if she is found out as the cloyan princess, she is tied to his highness so it is more difficult to accuse her of treason/ trying to restore the cloyan kingdom (white hair ruined everything tho)
I have a weird taste in my mouth after the "now that you confirmed you are the princess you have to make a vow to me " situation, like yes I trust you but marry me in the middle of the night real quick so I have claim over whats rest of Cloyan if you change your mind
