Unfortunately for the mother, I am a strong believer in that if you cannot deliver a decent quality of life to your children, you shouldn't have them. I obliviously understand that oftentimes, there is a lot of nuance with this, (e.g: LICs with poor contraception, abortion being criminalised, ect.), but there is (especially in this situation, where she CANNOT provide for them) a limit to how many kids you can have before its just outright selfish. The eldest child is burdened with the responsibilities of caring for their younger siblings, taking on a parental role, and this is only worsened if there is a large age gap with the 1st and 2nd eldest. It really pisses me off when those responsibilities then interfere or prevent the eldest/older siblings from having an independent future of their own.
"If you can't feed the baby, then don't have a baby." (Yes this is a MJ quote)
