i would like to add some context for this chapter bc although the adaptation has been GREAT, i feel like they didn’t do enough justice for after they had sex.
In the novel, there is actually a rlly hopeless vibe after mc wakes up. Before explaining that, the trip to Hong Kong symbolizes freedom and somewhat rebelliousness in the novel, the night out, having sex with ml, etc. So when mc wakes up, he realizes the extend of their relationship and is very heartbroken since he believes that this is just a one time thing or just friends with benefits. But not because the ml left him in the morning, but because his phone call with him makes him realize that they’re leaving Hong Kong and going back to Seoul.
He thinks about how once they’re back to Seoul, they’re going back to before and staying purely professional. So him smoking ml’s cigarettes in the hotel room symbolizes his one last act of rebelliousness before going back. That’s why when they’re in the car going to the airport, the ml saying “i’ll see you back in Seoul” is such an important line. In mc’s head (and in reality), it means that the ml is saying once we go back to seoul, let’s go back to before, esp since ml got scared of himself from knotting mc. I just really wanted to explain the symbolism of this trip and why they chose to end the season at this particular scene. :)
also SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!
i love how ml is so scared that he might’ve hurt mc when he knotted him but mc keeps asking him to knot him whenever they have sex (even when he was still a beta) bc he likes the feeling lol
Thanks for explaining but I’m confused. So is MC a beta but he’s turning into an omega or what? And can you explain the reason and meaning behind the eye color change on ML please?
Also, I was wondering if he freaked out after knotting him since he thinks he might be an omega and that he’ll possibly get pregnant? Like he started scraping his cum out n apologizing til mc said it’s okay im a beta but we know the ML thinks he might be omega
