I mean you probably don't know if you never experience this , but having someone who like you only for your look , keep invading your personal space , and try to be close to your friend only for being more close to you or even staring at you like you some kind of fresh meat. It's not a pleasant feeling. You probably think it's a timid behavior, but trust me it's not , she just act like a creep towards him. Just the way she keep thinking about him and make him her all world it's a creepy behavior. He have every right to push her away and make her know he's not ok with her being around him . Honestly as someone who have a similar experience, this dude is just a victim.

True. I think it's always hard for people to see from the perspective of the person rejecting and always assumes the one being rejected is the victim. (Also hard for viewers to see from a non MC perspective whether what MC is doing is right or wrong).
It is creepy the way she's so parasocial with him just from watching him on TV. And like he mentions, he's met a ton of people like her following him around just from seeing him on TV.
