yes!! this was one of the few omegaverse stories I’ve read bc the mc was different from the stereotype of being weak, submissive, and constantly vulnerable to SA. whiplash to portray him otherwise and then finish the season with him being victimized into that exact stereotype. my stupid ass got my hopes up knowing bl authors love to ruin their stories for the sake of including rape. and now he’s downplaying being raped and everyone is mad at him im tired

wtf is with all this unnecessary rape like wtfffff. There was no need to have him be raped by his what I’m guessing is his assistant. Especially when the author is trying to portray him as someone who pushes against the standard just to have him held back and forced into it. Also hasn’t the assistant lasted all this time by his side holding back but now he suddenly can’t. If I had known getting into it that the author would try and pull some love triangle type shit I more likely than anything would have never picked it up. Like holy shit can the rape and SA stop because ultimately it provides nothing to the plot, instead it continue to fetishize this idea that it’s okay. I understand this has always been a thing for yaoi but at some point you’d think with the rise of people who’ve been critical of it they’d try and at least lessen the amount or only use it if it’s pertinent to the story/plot.
