This is why I love Chowon's arc, it showed everything I wanted to happen in that situation. He had real character development: - He asked forgiveness and wasn't forgiven entirely but given a chance to repent for what he did. - They showed that he was willing to change after meeting the right person, change wasn't immediate either. - They also showed him getting back into bad habits from time to time, yet still corrected it when called out. - Satisfying outcome with his family. He realized that his family was a big part of the problem after experiencing what real family should be and cut them off entirely when they did something out of line. He stood by that decision, yet allowed (pretended not to know) his partner to atleast let his father see Bin (kinda like giving them atleast a chance to meet Bin while still maintaining his distance from them)
In contrast, Hyesung's situation is still a series of push and pull with people going behind his back despite knowing his stance. Im not sure why author is still hung up on this side arc. I feel like they kinda struggle inserting deep conflicts with this one knowing that it's supposed to be a light story. They should've just closed this case on the main series. I just hope it would be a satisfying outcome.
