I wanted angst not braindead stupidity

I loved its premise with its unrequited love and semi toxic codependency from the other lead hence the indulgence in the relationship request of MC = which is a master recipe for a great angst (see also STAR STRUCK for same angst unrequited love toxic dependency recipe). BUT GODDAMN ARE THEY DUMB and have no emotional awareness and maturity. If I were to be super bored and be ragebaited, then I'd try to read its novel for funsies,
