From what ive seen in previous chapters, minyoung came out and said "ur son is gay and i made him that way", or something along those lines, to cheol's father. Context is unknown but Im sure we will see the whole picture soon.
well if there's one, that's never a reason for him to abuse cheol just because he's insecure that his life is a trash and he's jealous of his younger brother being successful
I have a big feeling that cheols "uncle" is is actual father and some scandal came about to why that abuser came to be cheols father. I mean who really treats your son like that for no reason even in early childhood??? Also his uncle looks more like him, and has been there to fill the father role! So I mean we don't know what else can be the reason for such long term resentment (until it gets revealed) ┗( T﹏T )┛
That can be part of the reason but from what we seen of the story in earlier years cheol has memories of his "father" (if we can even call him that) never expressing any love to him, only his younger brother!
he was hated even before his brother was born and it only fueled the hatred when his brother was born and from then on it's abuse and abuse and abuse from mentally to physically
pretty sure he's just a deadbeat abusive father that has nothing good going for him so he lashes out to cheol ever since he was born and more so when minyoung outed him
I lowkey thought this especially when in ch 18(?) it showed a side by side of the two of them and cheols dad was basically saying those two had the same smirk or smt

Yes but I feel like there's gonna be this big "oh but this happened" plot twist or smth so I wouldn't put it past this author especially (loved both of there works) ദദ ˉ꒳ˉ )✧
