Many other manhwas do this too, the child took care their parent's debt even when the parents are not around.
I mean he renounced his inheritance, could he not just use the family lawyer and build a case against these guys for harassing him and his very underage sister!? Even the cops said the loan shark guys had prior arrests. I get that he doesn’t wanna be a burden but like plz communicate for crying out loud and don’t give money to pay people YOU don’t owe anything to.
