It wasn't exactly like a secret/plot twist or anything, really. Inside one of the earlier volumes post-script(vol. 5 i think), it was mentioned there that Olly's original ornament was exchanged with Qifrey's. But who knew the reason behind the exchange would be THIS devastating
looking back it is so obvious they switched tassels bc the girl's hat tassels match olruggio's and qifrey's long ribbon one is pitch black and doesn't match the colour scheme of their uniform lol but i never thought anything of it. i wonder if any earlier manga readers predicted they switched tassels already?
