I think is necessary, it's hard when u love someone and this person don't want to assume u, always telling everybody he's ur friend because this person don't want anybody to find out.
Yeah I get why Jae is kind of offended in this, everyone would want to show off their significant other that they love dearly. But I also understand that Garam has alot of unresolved issues regarding being outed that he still needs to work through to understand where Jae is coming from. I do think they both want the best for eachother just need some more time and growth.
I do think the break was necessary, both have grown alot since they met eachother but there was still much they needed to overcome. I feel like Jae really had alot of character development during the relationship and in the end was able to give a secure relationship (not saying he did it perfectly). I think Garam is the opposed in that sense he sees things clearer once having distance and grows more when being apart; he also still has many trauma’s he couldn’t quite get over and was reflecting it on his current relationship. So yeah I do think it was much needed.
