I somehow was expecting Pip would meet a reincarnation of Louis, but ending the story like that makes the most sense. It will only trigger his trauma and obsession to meet another Louis when he should be living out his new life as a free human.
I loved it. My heart aches for them but I'm happy Pip found his peace after everything.
