I read the novel and so far they've been okay again, why did I say that? here's why;






after Varkas and thalia get married, Varkas father died after the delegation and held a memorial as soon as he was passed. His siblings was mad at him, especially to thalia. Senevier came to the east to give her 'condolences' aka to check on thalia, Senevier talked to varkas and he's still on the crown prince side. So she devised a plan to use thalia to get pregnant so the heir she's carrying is going to be friends/confidant of his younger brother, she reluctant agreed but in her terms. She wanted to get pregnant to have her own family (defying seneviers plan). Ff, she got pregnant and they're becoming close through the baby but tragedy strikes and she lose the baby (its a boy) because of that both of them stayed away each other due to thalia pushing varkas away. Varkas agreed to her wishes and go to the war between the north and imperial family, Varkas stayed in the borders for 1-2 years away from east but still keeping tabs on thalias condition. Thalia saw varkas leaving and heartbroken that he actually left her (they had an agreement during her pregnancy that if ever she tried to push him away, he shouldn't listen to her and stay)for once she prayed that he'll come back and suddenly she heard a cry of a pup. at first she ignored it but it became a cry of a baby, thalia hunted by her miscarriage, she sprinted and look for it. she found the guards carrying a pack of dire wolf cubs, she asked what's happening. the guards said that they were trying to get some mana stones but cubs are useless so they're disposing them in a pit they made, thalia was about to walk away when she saw a silver wolf and that has varkas' eyes. she took the cub and raised as her own, which later on made a huge uproar and problem. War is finally over and varkas came home to a lot of problem including Thalia's wolf— named Khan.
