Nope. He doesn't. Though taeui goes with him instead of Ilay. And afterwards, Taeui returns to Ilay and gets raped by him, technically. And just after that, Ilay and Taeui are announced as national terrorists due to the bombing. It's all melodrama from here on; the only good part is that they confirm their feelings for each other.
