The father does have power in his eyes, but no information yet of what his eyes can do.
It seems his father already in this psycho eyes research for long time, and when the MC revealed he has psycho eyes, the father is so happy.
But then, the father realised MC psycho eyes migh bring trouble to him, and become a reliability to his big plan.
So the father cut ties to MC so that MC cannot track and realise what the father is actually up to.
The reason why now the father reached out to MC, is because he want to check what was the extend of MC power.
And after that meet up, he realised MC only weakness at the moment = he can see what is the relationship, he don't know who the perpetrator and who the target. So if A hate B but B don't hate A, all MC see is A and B have bad relationship.
Just like how the guy who wanted to kill the father was actually the guy who owe him money. But with the father word saying he need money, and purposefully wore tattered clothes, he twist the perception of the MC to think that the money relationship he got is of him owing money to several people when the actuality is people owing money to the father.
The father is the world eye.
The father is the one that headed the research on the eye dropper that can awake the psycho eyes on some people. And been selling that or maybe given for free to test on people.
But for people who have no talent to awaken, the eye dropper act like a drug that make people hallucinate and end up either digging their own eyes out or the eyes explode which explain the scene of that 3 addicts eyes bleeding.
OK.. So basically dad ain't there to play family or at least until he is sure he can keep everything hide from Mc? So the whole story of him being taken away was a lia then.

These are all deductions from all the chapters we read so far.
I gather clues and formed my own hypothesis.
(I have talent to be detective maybe. Lol. Or just active imagination).
So yeah, the dad did not get taken away.
He moved away to focus on his plan.
Remember how he went and "rescue" those abused children?
Apparently those institutions was his group's project and he is just there to remove the evidence (the abuse who work under him) and then act like the savior to the children to manipulate them. It's like a cult.
Lol!! That does sound possible. But I disagree about the drug part, I think their more likely trying to transplant the eyes from one person to another. After all, they did kidnap the girl knowing what her eyes could do, and they were thinking of preserving them rather than destroying them to make a liquid.
About the dad acting like a hero... I think it's more likely he was part of an organization that just toke control of the horrible place and took the kids. Maybe he was even taken by force... :( I don't know.. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, he could cherish the Mc.. ( T﹏T )
I mean didn't Mc say that there WAS strings of attachments in the past but that they were broken.... Plus he reattached the string with his dad. He's ability wouldn't lie... You could say "he's just faking the relationship, he doesn't care for the Mc" yet the strings would be very thin and almost breaking (like with the girl that confessed to him).

A string can appear even when it is 1 sided.
As before when he purposedly make the other guy pissed of at the girl, and then the string turned black. So the string still turn black even when the girl don't hate the guy while the guy did even if it's only momentarily.
So that time, the one who tied back the string is MC, not the father. But MC don't know about that.
Also, most of the story is from MC's POV, and I don't think he is a reliable story teller, especially story of when he is still a young boy.
Regarding that drug place with the kids, pretty sure 1 of the abuser there said something about how the people attacking them is trying to ged rid of the "evidence".

3. So.... Does the father (evil eye) actually cares about Mc? Like.. They did redo the string but he also left to make another family (more like an army) and then came back. Basically my question is whether the father came back only to try an use MC for his eyes or if he truly wants to be a family again? (=・ω・=)
