Not sure what you saw but some women in the story are bad too... + l'm pretty sure ML/Shin hinted several times he saw himself (younger naive self) in Ryujin and is intentionally cruel to him bc 1. Ryujin knows only to rely on others and surround himself with foes rather than allies. 2. Ryujin is objectively NOT smart or intuitive (he doesn't investing on his skill, studies, lives on fantasy and hope.) 3. Unfavorable society, circumstance and country: Ryujin is surrounded by and is a magnet for weirdos that have a crush on his dead sis.
He doesn't know how to prioritize himself. Which is bad. He needs to learn how do it with his own power and skill or else wolves will continue eating him alive....
Even if Ryujin's chose to leave without helping Shin IT IS IMPOSSIBLE for him to enjoy life.
- Everyone in their country believes he's a trouble maker or are after his body... He had tried living normally before and was abused in the worst way possible that even what shin did to him pales in comparison.
- Ryujin can't even leave the country. + his sister is considered a traitor of sort to the country. There is no way they'll let him cross the border. Even if he does get funds he will likely be scammed. The same way the rebel's boss got his ass. No networking or friends too... how tf can he find a reliable person?
- He has NO expendable skills until he met Shin.
Without Shin with him or bringing down the corruption he would have no way to live a normal life. He's bad and hates too... No way to go a café, take a walk outside, study in peace, learn to drive or walk without worrying someone will betray him or grape him. He also has no money, no job,... considering his background any normal folk would think he brings more trouble than help.
Not a fan of Shin but he is helping Ryujin dev survival skills and fight for himself by being his nightmare. With no one saving him, Ryujin is forced to learn to do it himself.
Before Shin, Ryujin wasn't enjoying life and not "living happily" either tbh. He was being kept safe by Wolves who weren't doing it for his sake or happiness but for their selfish desire to get his ass.
In this circumstances his only option is to live in cabin in the middle of nowhere. Living in clandestine is not living or enjoying life.
In order to live normally again, start a new, the government MUST go down and restore her family name.

I know woman are bad here but also holds power i m talking about ending and some other women yet to appear in storyline whose favour they were seeking , anyway considering ryujin is indeed naive and that's the only reason he is alive after so many abuses i wouldn't say he should leave shin i never said that I know shin is supporting him but also abusing him at the same time shin would never leave him to be scammed that's what author made sure readers feel accepted to him despite being the most of mfs asshole he is , that's why considering the further ryujin totally depend on shin emotionally and financially just shin mother i mean in novel some thoughts shown that shin and his father are alike his mother was younger after his father died she also died without caring about shin , just like that shin was expecting ryujin to be that but ryujin wouldn't die if shin dies he would live shin make sure people around him will take of ryujin if shin never around ... I wouldn't ryujin is entirely naive he is smart and people never see how capable he is never given opportunity enough just as he is good at shooting but shin prioritize his skills as shooter he saw skills he hold actually ryujin been gang rsped in School he never got enough time to polish himself when people around him tarnishing for being brother of his sister , shin sure did many good things ti ryujin but author depict to show that ryujin being naive makes him enough to live everyday cuz he believes in living even if it's a fantasy for him but he still wants to cuz he never got enough opportunity to do that m
