it also confused me but then i remembered that terion was like 13 when he met rein and thats completely different to raising a child from birth. i do think it was really weird that he wasnt able to love his own son because that son is also half of valeta so he should have some sort of affection for him.
A lil bit opposite for me cuz i thought he actually wouldnt like terion for the same reason he later hated his own son, but no he was able to accept terion in his own way. Valeta was running away from rein while bringing terion along, but now valeta isng even running away, they just have a son. And ya i do agree i thought he would at least love his son cuz of valeta and tbf his son wanted his attention, not even hers. The son is literally better than him the way hes adjusting and working around his crazy father
Im kind of disappointed with rein's arc. Yes he was obsessive then had a good arc of finally realizing that the world doesnt only revolve around them. He needs to take care of others too with valeta as the reason.
BUT what truly confuses me is that he loves or at least cares for terion, which was wonderfully shown. Enough for them to live together despite not sharing blood relations. Then youre telling me, to his own child, he cant?????
My brother have we gone full circle and erased his arc? Its sad when they play it off as "oh hes just a doting husband" cuz no, he WAS able to accept terion. But to his own child they make him seem almost like a tsundere? Then there he goes openly showing affection to his daughter. This is so sad man, he already had a great arc, im so confused with the direction it went when having their own children. His son must be so understanding after seeing his father's blatant love for everyone in their family but him.
