I remember it being an omegaverse. Omega mc had brown hair and was in debt for some reason. He knew the loan shark alpha ml from before, either college or high school, and I remember this one scene where mc couldn't keep up with payments and ml wanted sex but mc basically said anyone but him so ml sent the mc with his men to be sold and one of the men didn't like mc's attitude so he beat him up and tossed him in with a bunch of other omegas on a boat maybe and mc got sick?
