Idk the story and I think I'm dyslexic, so what I understood you said: (Assuming Grace is currently the mc???) Grace was handed a book by a white haired guy who knows she's actually Sely from the story book, but Grace doesn't know that. So when mc goes to another world, mc Sely wakes up as Grace. While og Grace is in Sely's body. So now Grace has to find out who Sely is(??)
My understanding just reading what you said without braincells: Sely turned into grace with dark magic, but Sely isn't Sely because she's actually Grace who went back to her original body to hide Because- A Random white man from Korea knows Grace isn't actually Grace and that she's in the wrong body, which leads you to believe she's the real Sely from the books the man found in order to get her back to her og world and be-rid it of the og Grace.
Yes. Like I said I think I'm dyslexic so I took a several reads before I stopped to realize that Grace didn't turn into Sely only to turn into Grace again, so yeah that was hard for me. Didn't help that I don't know context yet.... I don't even know if my interpretation of what you said where I had to align my brain cells is correct :)
Ok so I'm at chapter 11 and I think I understand the theory now, but I'll also add in what I think happened: what if fake Sely (grace rn) used to live in Korea but one day stumbled upon the og story's book and needed up switching bodies with the real Sely. (Like those stories like the duchess teas where the og girl didn't actually die and they just switched places. Could also be dark magic gone wrong)
R Sely lives her life in Korea when one day the white haired guy tells her she's not in her correct body and gives her the og story's book. F Sely had been enjoying life, context with the maids are that their og Sely was rude and mean. All of that was F Sely at that point. But when the expedition day arrived F Sely ofc wasn't ready to sacrifice her life like the real Sely would have, So F Sely somehow found a way (or maybe was given an option) to escape Sely's body. F Sely possess Grace (who I'm assuming is dead). Sely's body is soulless but at this point R Sely had already died in Korea so her soul goes back to her og body which is as Sely.
(Dark magic or not) Grace's soul is still the current story's Sely so the male leads love would still be in love with her as for how it's supposed to be in the story, however since Grace isn't apart of the story (and the expedition probably started at this point) she never got a chance to meet with the male leads. The story goes on as normal with our Sely going through the books plots, the male leads falling for her was probably not only the influence of the og story but also just Sely being Sely.
Our Sely doesn't have plot armor like F Sely so she fall off the cliff and probably succumbed to the demon kings magic after stabbing him (still not sure how she fell in a coma) while asleep and what we found out happened Grace met the male leads, and because of the worlds original plot the male leads were influenced and automatically fell in love with Sely's soul (Grace), but not in a natural way, in a unnatural way like the world is influencing their minds to push them towards the real protagonist, which would explain the male leads reactions of admitting they care for our Sely but then immediately seeming like puppets the moment Grace called them. (Kinda like that one story where the mc's ml was falling for her but he was under the original story's influence so he'd always take the world's protagonists side, forgot the name)
Writing this made me think why the world immediately accepted Fake Sely (Grace) as the new Sely, I'm thinking Grace went into the story using dark magic (on purpose or not) and that dark magic rebooted the worlds system and saw fake Sely as the new real Sely, which would be why Grace is now the new protagonist because the world sees her soul as the real Sely even despite the og Sely (our Sely) also being in the world now

basically grace was originally in sely's body but was so scared to be a part of the expedition that she used dark magic to be grace BUT the thing is she wasn't even the real sely to begin with! if you guys remember the white haired guy said "you're not even in the right body" or something along that line when sely (forgot her korean name) was still in korea BECAUSE (in my theory) she's the REAL sely that's part of the book itself and he really finds his way to get the book TO HER to try to solve having the fake sely (grace rn) in sely's body! the actual book actually was supposed to happen but dark magic got in the way. im still not sure what sely's father got to do with anything and what happened to him honestly, cant think of anything else other than he's either also fake or is just blinded by the fact grace is his real "daughter"
