1) Short answer: objectively speaking, YES 100%.
Long answer: as you may already know from the spoilers, the ML is the reason a lot of people struggled reading the novel (me included. He was the whole reason I've been about to stop reading multiple times) so beware of that.
He was presented as this epitome of toxic masculinity, a total manwhore who slept with every woman he met (it was also not so implied that he didn't really care about consent, so a lot of these women probably just couldn't refuse) and even SA'ed the FL when he found out about her gender (yes, he was 'just drunk' and 'only' groped her, he didn't full on rape her like I saw a few comments say, but it doesn't make it much better), because he felt betrayed and because he was terribly jealous of Lili. After this episode it becomes confusing because over the years (the whole novel goes on for 20 years, this happens over like 5 years) he becomes a total lovestruck fool who would do literally anything for her, if that makes you feel a bit better. He even becomes abstinent and still never tries to initiate anything, just waiting for her to really accept him. I kinda hate myself for eventually finding him cute (my brain has been fried after all the toxic yaoi I unwillingly consumed I guess).
The main reason I was able to kinda accept him (!!only because it's fiction) is that I honestly think the FL is objectively a terrible person as well so...
Either way, it's worth reading just for the GL romance, that was a 1000/10. And they also become a pretty balanced throuple, kinda healthy in their unhealthiness lmao
2) No he's not thankfully.
If you want to know who the queen is I can tell you, though beware that it's supposed to be a big climatic plottwist
Hah..idk how to feel about this. I liked the prospect of mc ending up with both a man and a woman. But from the dongbaek I've seen till now..a man like that just sounds unsuitableT.T if they're gonna make a badass fmc and a cute gl with lili too, couldn't they make a sweet ml as well?:') i mean, at least make him a cunning and charming type instead? Damn, at least it looks like he's kinda redeemable at the end, so i might stick along. Still.. WHY did they have to go with a playboy trash ml...aghhh.

Yeah I honestly don't know how the author conceived such a beautiful tragically romantic storyline between MC and FL just to have a ML that made me go: "THAT is the male lead???"
Again, he did get MUCH better but it's not really a justification for how he was in the beginning
To those who said that the relationship between MC and Lili was purely platonic because MC only ever saw her as a little sister, while only MC's relationship with the ML was sexual... have you even read the novel? THEY HAD A FUCKING THREESOME OH MY GODDDD (chapter 515), AND LILI SUGGESTED IT??!?! LILI IS A WOLF IN SHEEP CLOTHING, I'VE NEVER BLUSHED SO MUCH BECAUSE OF A NOVEL IN MY LIFE (I usually don't even like yuri, but Dongbaek x Lili????)
