The Real Problem

frieda May 28, 2026 11:40 pm

After finishing it, I just find it so F**KING ridiculous that they are getting revenge on the wrong person. The whole time, the emperor was painted like some good guy but he was the reason everything turned into a tragedy. First, he neglected Marianne, who even if he didn’t love her, was still one of his wife and should be treated with some respect. His “real love” and his daughter committed suicide after he locked them up because he is an incompetent idiot. If I were Linden, I would’ve gotten mad at him for not doing a single thing for his wife and daughter. And the Marquis Childe kept going on about how his sister suffered because of her husband, yet he let his anger out on the wrong people.

The emperor did not cause the death of the wife and daughter and if you feel unloved in a marriage you can freely leave. To target and cause the death of the person your unrequited lover is in love with. That's what causes toxic relationships and violence, yes the man was a whore and used the marriage as convenience as many royal marriages are done. But she was from a family more powerful than the queen's, if she had any self respect she would have left and found a proper man, not plot againts a woman and a child and throw them in jail while also having people goad them into taking their life for 6 months. Is like how women fight and kill each other cause the man cheated when the door is wide freaking open and if there is any self respect at all. The best you can do is walk away.
We didn't see Mikhail try to take the fl away just cause he was in love, he noticed she loved another and took a hike. The king was already married when he took in the concubine, cause those come after a queen position, she had ever door to step out. SHE CHOSE TO STUPIDLY STAY FOR LOVE AND WHEN THAT DIDN'T WORK, SHE AND HER BROTHER WORKED TO THE POINT THAT GOT HER SON'S HALF SISTER KILLED AND GOT A CHILD TO SEE HIS MOTHER AND SISTER DIE.
And while the king was complacent, that was not his fault or caused by him.

I honestly don't see what you wanted to happen. Have him hate his father? Have him also kill him as revenge? The only family he had left? We see how the father also suffered on his own and took his own punishment and we see how Linden basically lost as feeling after the tragedy, what more reaction can we ask of a child seeing that? Yeah he could be upset at the father but in all the years that would have eventually pass cause at the end of the day, he wasn't the one that caused the death of his wife and child

"She could have just left the most powerful man in the country"

Do you hear yourself? Are you stupid as well as malevolent?

Did you not read the part where the emperor literally had no option but to have the woman and child in jail cause he couldn't lose her family's power? When a new emperor is being appointed and a marriage of convenience is happening, the one with the advantage at that time is the powerful family that sometimes even manipulate the emperor.

And are you saying that instead of leaving, she did right by literally having an innocent child and woman jailed and killed? Are YOU dense?
And last time I checked malevolent is causing harm, how is the woman simply leaving, and NOT causing harm being malevolent

But you are right now tho? She ain't a victim cause nothing was done to her expect not have the man she loved love her back. And yet she was the one that acted againts the lifes of others
If you tell me she was being abused or mistreated then yes but it wasn't. So is the victim blaming misogyny in the room with us or are you just making shit up now?

Oh my god. Are you stupid?

I haven't read your trash webtoon and the 'just leave' line is used against women all the time.

    Get a grip you moron.

And yet again. When people have nothing to say, get around to insulting. The "just leave" line can be seen as wrong when the woman is trapped and is being abused, aka in danger. The just leave line can ALSO be used when the woman is just jealous and chooses to cause harm to the other woman instead of the husband that caused the problem. So my point still stand, there is no misogyny here, you just don't have a plot, have no idea what you are talking about and are trying to insult someone cause a measly word just triggered you.

Furthermore, if you haven't read my trash webtoon, why are you throwing opinions and insults with no actual understanding of what happened?

I get both sides she wrong for involving those who did nothing to her but its also true that divorce and/or running away was never an option either. Lets not forget the kings made a bet w elise, acknowledged her power, and still continues to sabotage her because he wants her married to his son.. and let’s say she did succeed in getting away would she be able to actually live a life without worrying constantly

I’m also only saying this because it’s obvious the men in this manga are not that pleasant but we’re expected to “understand where they are coming from” She only got that bad because of the king(no he shouldn’t force his self to live her but ignoring her pain is what got his other family klled)
