Those are characters with hero complex and I also hate it so much. Authors want to emphasize that a chara is good by making them oh so willing to help others at the cost of their lives. These are selfish people who weighs their guilt over whatever is logical on the current situation. Selfish in short
Characters written like that is so shallow to me
Can I just why do female leads just want to save someone in trouble when they bloody well can’t save themselves. At that time they will say “but we have to save him” when they are just adding a bigger burden. Uuuuuugh it makes so frustrated seeing that. Like girl save ur self first
